Every Friday over on my Facebook page I feature a product or technique of the week. This week’s Feature Friday is a cling stamp set called “Very Best Occasions” where I added a couple sentiments from the set to a Z fold card. The featured stamp set has 12 different sentiments that can be used for almost any occasion. I used the Z Fold technique to show off a couple of my favorite sentiments from this wonderful stamp set. Each sentiment is made in a different font. I love the look of the font on this card. It looks handwritten in pretty cursive.
There are birthday sentiments, three Christmas sentiments, gratitude, thinking of you, a sympathy sentiment and a couple “love you” sentiments. I used one of the Christmas sentiments below to make a refrigerator magnet. What do you think?
Z Fold Card Technique
So, do you want to learn the Z fold card technique? It is very simple. First, you fold your cardstock in half and then fold the front of card in half again forming a mountain fold. You begin with cardstock that measures 8-1/2″ by 5-1/2″, score it in half on the long side at 4-1/4 inches and then score that piece in half at 2-1/8 inches. Next, fold it back on itself so it looks like a Z. Voila! Then all you do is decorate it. I put designer series paper on the inside, but you could also put white or vanilla cardstock there instead. Vanilla cardstock was used on the left inside fold and stamped with the Happy Birthday stamp in Pretty Peacock ink to match the pattern paper. The color combination of Moody Mauve and Pretty Peacock is so stunning. Don’t you think so?
