Front Flip Bridge Fun Fold

front flip bridge fun fold card

Today I’d like to teach you how to make what I am calling the Front Flip Bridge Fun Fold card. It is a combination of two different fun folds: the Front Flip Fun Fold and the Bridge Fun Fold. All the measurements and directions can be found below along with photos for some of the steps.

A fellow demonstrator, Stacey Cogswell taught me and I am passing on my knowledge to you. She used a card base from the September 2026 Paper Pumpkin kit called Aspens of Gratitude and cut it up to create an alternative design. But you can easily substitute pattern paper and a different stamp set to create this fun fold. The picture below shows it created with Sunflower Fields Designer Series Paper. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how to make this card.

Measurements

Pecan Pie cardstock Card base: 5½” x 8½” scored at 4¼”
Pecan Pie cardstock (bridge) : 5½” x  1/2″
Pecan Pie inside card: 7-7/8″ x 3-1/2″ fold in half at 3-15/16″
Basic White cardstock: 5-1/4″ x 4″ and 3-1/4″ x 3-3/4″ and 3-1/4 x 1/2″ (sentiment)
DSP: 4″x 5-1/4″ (pattern should flow across the page in landscape mode not portrait)

Front Flip Bridge Fun Fold Directions

Take your Pecan Pie cardbase and cut 1-¼” strip on the left and right hand side stopping at the center score line.

step 1

Next cut in between the strips along the score line to remove the center piece.

step 2

Then glue the white cardstock (5-1/4″ x 4″) to the inside panel and glue the Pecan Pie bridge piece (5½” x  1/2″) to the two strips as shown below.

step 3 bridge

Next, glue the back half of the Pecan Pie inside card (7-7/8″ x 3-1/2″) on top of the white cardstock leaving equal size borders on the right and left. Refer to picture below.

step 4 inside card

Then adhere the smaller piece of white cardstock (3-1/4″ x 3-3/4″) to the bottom half of the Pecan Pie inside card. Decorate or stamp a sentiment if desired.

step 5 inside card white

Now the inside is done, let’s work on the front of the card. Position the DSP in landscape orientation and cut 1″ off the right and left end.  Adhere them to the front of the card on the left and right strips (leave an equal size border on all four sides). The remaining middle piece of DSP will measure 3-1/4 x 4″ which is just a smidge too long. Trim 1/8″ off to shorten the 4″ and then adhere it to the top of the inside card leaving equal borders on the sides.

Add ink to your stamp and stamp the sentiment on the narrow white cardstock (3-1/4 x 1/2″). Then adhere it to the front of the bridge piece.

Decorate with ribbon or embellishments as desired. For example, ephemera and the In Color Butterflies.

Below is another example, made with the front panel of a Paper Pumpkin card base that was folded in landscape orientation (horizontal fold) to create this Front Flip Bridge Fun Fold.
