I had a few requests to share how to make a Front Flap Fun Fold card I posted to my Facebook page so I am going to share the measurements and directions. It is so rewarding for me when others like my card designs so much that they want to recreate them. This card design was not one of mine, however. I have to give credit to Susan Campfield. She and several others hosted a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator event and this was the card she demonstrated to all of us. The card can be made in pink or blue depending on which sheet of the Bloom Boutique Designer Series Paper used.

Basic White Cardstock:
~5-1/2” x 7-1/2” scored at 4-1/4” for the card base
~3” x 4” embossed
Two-Tone Hydrangea Hue or Barely Blush Two-Tone Cardstock:
~Scrap of two-tone cardstock to foil butterfly
~Scrap to cut scalloped oval label
Gold Foil Sheet: Scrap to cut leaves
Bloom Boutique Designer Series Paper (DSP):
~2-7/8” x 5-1/8”
~5/8” x 5-1/8”
Hydrangea Hue or Barely Blush Cardstock:
~3-5/8” x 4-1/8” score at 1/2″
~3” x 5-1/4”
~3/4” x 5-1/4”
Front Flap Fun Fold Instructions
- First score your white card base so the fold is on the right-hand side. The front of the card base will be one inch shorter than the back of the card base.
- After scoring the cardstock that measures 3-5/8” x 4-1/8”, apply adhesive along the 1/2″ fold and attach it about halfway down to the inside edge of your card base that is exposed because the front of the card base is narrower that the back. This creates the front flap that opens from right to left while the card base opens from left to right.
- Then adhere the Bloom Boutique DSP measuring 2-7/8” x 5-1/8” to the cardstock measuring 3” x 5-1/4”. Then adhere it to the front of the card base making sure it is centered.
- Next adhere the Bloom Boutique DSP measuring 5/8” x 5-1/8” to the cardstock measuring 3/4” x 5-1/4”. Then adhere it to the inside left of the card base to cover up the 1/2″ cardstock seam that created the front flap above.
- Take the 3” x 4” white cardstock and emboss it. Then adhere it to the front flap making sure it is centered.
- Using a scrap of gold foil, die cut the leaves and adhere them to the front flap.
- Die cut the label from a scrap of matching cardstock (or two-tone cardstock) using the Phrases and Frames die that looks like a scalloped oval. Then stamp your sentiment from the Phrases and Frames Stamp Set in Versamark ink, apply gold embossing powder and heat it with your heat tool. Apply dimensionals to the back and attach to front flap.
- Using the Hot Foil System, gold hot foil, the Butterfly Flight Hot Foil Dies, and two-tone cardstock and run it through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine to foil and cut the butterflies. Apply dimensionals to one of the butterflies and attach to the front flap.
- Lastly, color three rhinestone embellishments with Stampin’ Blends (Hydrangea Hue or Flirty Flamingo to match cardstock) and add embellishments to front flap. (Coloring your rhinestones is optional).
