Today I want to share a 6 x 6 Template that will create 3 cards from one sheet of 6″ x 6″ pattern paper without any waste! That’s right, with this template below you don’t have any scraps left over. For example, if you are like me, you have tons of 6″x 6″ designer series paper (DSP) in your craft room waiting to be used. Therefore, give this template a try and create three cards with just one piece of DSP and start using up that pretty paper!
Let’s get started. Below is the 6 x 6 Template and the three cards I made using a 6 x 6 piece of Flight & Airy DSP. The Flight & Airy DSP is one of many FREE items you can earn with a $50 order during Sale-a-bration. (more about Sale-a-bration later)
Card #1 Orientation Landscape
First use the 2-3/4″ x 4″ piece of DSP. If you want to add a cardstock border behind it before attaching it to your card base, that would measure 3″ x 4-1/4″ .
Card #2 Orientation Portrait
Next, use the 4-3/4″ x 2″ piece of DSP. If you want to add a cardstock border behind it before attaching it to your card base that would measure 5″ x 2-1/4″.
Card # 3
Orientation can be either portrait or landscape depending on your sentiment (I used landscape). Finally, use the 4 remaining pieces to complete your third card. Place the two shorter pieces vertically on the ends and the two longer pieces horizontally on the top left and bottom right. Be sure to leave a border around each piece.
