Pencils, Markers and Ink…Oh my! Create Christmas Cards in July!
Did you love to color when you were a kid? Some of us still do—which is why you are going to love these simple but fun Christmas projects. Dive into all the color options with ink, Blender Pens, Watercolor Pencils, and Stampin’ Write Markers. Want to add another coloring technique? Go right ahead! I won’t tell! Create two sweet Christmas cards in July using the instructions below.

MEASUREMENTS
Basic White Cardstock base:
8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″
Basic White Cardstock for jars:
3-1/2″ x 2-1/2″
Real Red Cardstock for jar lids:
3″ x 3/4″
Secret Sea Two-Tone Cardstock
(light side):
4-1/4″ x 3/4″
Secret Sea Two-Tone Cardstock
(dark side):
4-1/4″ x 1-3/8″
Designer Series Paper:
4-1/4″ x 1/2″
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Score 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ Basic White Cardstock at 4-1/4″
and fold in half to create a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ card.
2. Stamp the jar images in Tuxedo Black ink on 3-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ Basic
White Cardstock; stamp the snowman in Tuxedo Black ink inside one of the jars;
stamp the sentiment in Garden Green ink inside the other jar. Stamp the jar lids in
Tuxedo Black ink on 3″ x 3/4″ Real Red Cardstock. Cut out the jars and lids using the Sweet Jar Punch.
3. Color the snow with the blue watercolor pencil. Use the Blender Pen to soften the coloring.
4. Cut left edge of 4-1/4″ x 3/4″ Secret Sea Two-Tone Cardstock (light side) at an angle.
5. Assemble the card and add Linen Thread.

Designer Series Paper for card front:
4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″
Instructions for Second Christmas Card in July
1. Score 8-1/2″ x 5-1 /2″ Basic White Cardstock at 4-1/4″ and fold in half to create a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ card.
2. Cut 3-7/8″ x 2″ Secret Sea Two-Tone Cardstock into a banner shape. Adhere the Designer Series Paper
and Secret Sea Cardstock to the card front.
3. Die cut the circle from 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ Basic White Cardstock using the Stylish Shapes Dies and stamp
the ornament image three times near the top. Color the ornaments using Watercolor Pencils. Draw strings on
the ornaments using the Garden Green Stampin’ Write Marker. Adhere the circle to the card.
4. Stamp the sentiment in VersaMark Ink on 3-1/2″ x 3/8″ Real Red Cardstock. Heat emboss using white embossing powder.
Cut left end at an angle and adhere the sentiment to the card.
