Today I have a fun Flap Fold Card to share with you. It is a fun fold card that is pretty simple to make. I learned about it as a Mystery Card challenge where they just give you the measurements and you need to figure out how to put it together. I am not very good at mystery card challenges, so I had to wait to see the finished product before I made mine. But I am not going to make you guess. I will provide detailed instructions on how to make the Fun Flap Fold Card. You can either make it like mine or use your own supplies and customize it to suit your taste. That’s what I like about card making, you can take what you like about someone else’s card and then tweak it and make it your own. We call that case-ing. CASE stands for Copy and Share Everything (which is what I am doing). If you have any questions about this post email tammy@tammylovesstamping.com

Flap Fold Card Instructions
- Score cardstock (5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″) on the 8 1/2″ side at 4 1/4″. This is the card base.
- Score the cardstock (1″ x 5 1/2″) in the middle at 2 3/4 inches. This is the flap mechanism.
- Attach the DSP to the front of the card base using adhesive
- Attach one half of the flap mechanism to the back of the white cardstock on the 5 1/4″ side about half-way down.
- Next, attach the white cardstock (with the flap mechanism on the back) to the inside of the card base. The other side of the flap should flip over the top of the card.
6. Attach cardstock (2 1/2″ x 3 5/8″) to the top of the flap mechanism.
7. Stamp your image to the white cardstock (2″ x 3 1/8″) in black memento ink. Color the image with Stampin’ Up Watercolor Pencils. Use the blending brush to blend the color made by the watercolor pencils. Stamp your sentiment.
8. Attach your stamped image piece to the cardstock piece attached to the flap mechanism while leaving a border around the edges
9. Attach dsp (3/4″ x 4″) to the bottom inside white cardstock piece for a fun decoration when the card is opened. Use your bone folder to sharpen all the creases so the flap folds nice and flat on top of the closed base card.
10. Don’t forget to decorate your envelope. Then mail your creation. Sending some happy mail to someone will surely brighten their day. I would appreciate it if you would spread the word by sharing this post with your friends.
