Handmade card making and papercrafting tips and techniques

Frames & Flowers

Do you ever see something and think right away “I gotta have that!“?  The Frames and Flowers Specialty Designer Series Paper was it for me.  As soon as I saw the three sheets of die-cut designs I wanted it.  The frames, wreaths, flowers and colors had me designing cards in my head before I even had a chance to order the paper.  It comes with 6 sheets of 12″ x 12″ patterned paper in these colors:  early espresso, garden green, granny apple green, lost lagoon, old olive, petal pink, pretty peacock, pumpkin pie, shaded spruce and soft sea foam.  It also makes great scrap book layouts if you are a scrapbooker.

After my order arrived, I invited a friend over to make cards and in just a couple hours we had made six beautiful cards shown below.  It was so easy to use the pattern paper as the background and add the die cut pieces and sentiments. We searched Pinterest for inspiration. There were so many possibilities.  We decided on our three card designs and then we both put our own unique touch to them.  She added Wink of Stella glitter in places that I didn’t for example.  That is one thing I like about card making is that each card you make is a little bit different even if you are trying to replicate it exactly.

The pictures below don’t do the paper justice, so I also created a video for you to see all the great patterns and die cuts up close.  If you subscribe to my YouTube channel you will get notified whenever I post a new video like this one.  It will really help spread the word if you could share the video and this post with others.
